Alone For 500 Days

Spanish athlete Beatriz Flamini spent a year and a half alone in a cave, which might sound scary, but she actually felt happy during her time alone.
She didn't talk to many people during this time and wanted to see how being alone for so long affects people.

After 500 days, she came out of the cave on April 12, 2023.

When she talked to reporters, Flamini said she lost track of time quickly. It was so bad that when her team came to get her, she was surprised as she thought she'd only been there for 160-170 days instead of over 500. So convinced was she that time was going much slower, that she didn't even get to finish her book that she wanted to spend time reading while alone.
