Brazilian Worker Poisons Colleague Over Promotion Dispute

A 38-year-old textile worker in Abadia de Goias, Brazil, was arrested for poisoning a co-worker’s water bottle with a potent solvent.

CCTV footage showed her tampering with the container after an argument over a promotion.

The victim, who felt a burning sensation after drinking, was hospitalised but recovered.

The suspect, who accessed unauthorised chemicals , faces attempted aggravated homicide charges, carrying 6–20 years in prison.
