Fisherman’s Alien-Like Catch Goes Viral

Russian fisherman Roman Fedortsov caught a smooth lumpsucker fish in the northern Pacific Ocean.

The grey, bulbous creature, resembling an alien head, was filmed on his boat and shared with his 600,000 Instagram followers, going viral.

The fish’s swollen appearance, likely due to pressure changes, prompted comparisons to sci-fi characters.

The species, Aptocyclus ventricosus, grows up to 44cm and lives in deep waters.
