Fog Farming Yields Water in Arid Regions

Fog farming uses mesh nets to capture water droplets from fog in arid regions like Chile’s Atacama Desert and Morocco.

Nets, 12 x 4 meters, collect between 2–100 litres a day per square meter, depending on fog density.

Morocco’s CloudFisher produces up to 36,000 litres a day for 800 residents. The method supports drinking water and irrigation, offering a low-cost solution for water-scarce areas.
