Man in Latex Arrested After Jumping Out in Front of Car in Somerset

A man in his 30s was arrested after jumping out in front of a car in Somerset while wearing a latex suit.

The incident happened on Accommodation Road in the village of Bleadon.
A female motorist reported seeing a man in a black latex suit jump out in front of her car, causing her to brake sharply.
The man then ran away from the scene, but police were able to track him down and arrest him within minutes.
The suspect was named as 32-year-old Christopher John Goodall, of no fixed address and was charged with causing a public nuisance.

Goodall has a history of similar behaviour. In October 2022, he was arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance after a number of reports of a man wearing a black latex suit in the Cleeve, Claverham and Yatton areas.
He was released on bail pending further inquiries but has now been re-arrested in connection with the latest incident.
