Newton’s 1704 Letter Foresees 2060 Apocalypse
In 1704, Sir Isaac Newton wrote a letter predicting the world would end in 2060, based on biblical calculations from the Book of Daniel.
Using the “day-for-a-year” principle, he calculated 1260 days from 800 AD, marking the Holy Roman Empire’s founding, to arrive at 2060.
Newton described a spiritual upheaval, not a literal end, involving the Battle of Armageddon and Christ’s return.
He cautioned against firm dates to avoid discrediting biblical prophecy.
