For over a year, 16-20 peeled bananas on a plate have appeared on the corner of Abbey Road and Wensor Avenue in Beeston, UK, on the second day of each month.
Residents report the bananas, sometimes drizzled with honey, go untouched by wildlife and often rot.
No one has seen who leaves them or why.
Local Clare Short posted a sign to discourage the practice, but the bananas persist.
